Earlier, I found this video on another site. And this guy is real, and equal and fair. In other words, this guy is a legit journalist. (RIP Charles Krauthammer) .

You know this is true, don’t you?
You are not allowed to say certain things, aloud..
You can think them all you like, at least for a while
but eventually, if they keep stealing freedom of speech, that too will be taboo..
Na, not in this life. Let’s ‘understand’ the targets (of bullies) first!
A note on the topic of bullies and understanding them:
“It is sad to see that so many articles are favoring the bullies by first seeking to find out their reason for bullying. Society needs to come to the plate and really first handle the important task of making the target of the bully feel safe, protected and heard.
Our society has too much emphasis on making bullies feel “heard” .
Let’s listen to the targets, the victims , first and let the officials, the Deans, the authorities or police handle the bullies. Most seem to forget that most targets are bullied for months or even years before the bullying comes to light . So in a case like that, the target, the victim, the target of the bully really needs to be separated from the bully and the authorities or teachers or those in control of the education systems should take their heads out of the sand and put it on hold a bit as they continue to try to “understand” the bully. I get it that yes, eventually you need to understand the why of it, but not first before putting a space, a distance between the bully and the bully’s target. The school and the officials get it right as they first begin to understand the “target” of the bully rather than trying first to understand the “bully” . There are thousands of people that have had tough lives and yet they don’t resort to bullying. So, as a society, it is not correct to assume that ‘bullies” have a ‘reason’ for bullying. There’s no reason and there are no excuses. This is just another opinion, from a different point of view” . – artfromperry .
In and throughout our school systems and centers there is a theme going on and around. It appears that (some) think that the solution is to understand the bully.
Imagine if you went to court with a murderer — and the victim’s family there — , do you think that trying to “understand” the murderer helps the victims or the targets of the murderer?
Somebody needs to come up with better ideas on handling school and center problems.
I’d been there a number of times before but, before this I had never, ever seen turkeys there.
For the most part, I took one of my granddaughters on the road trip to distant place to see the wildlife that lived in the area. There ere cardinals, bluejays, woodpeckers ,chickadees, sparrows, squirrels, chipmunks, and lots of other animals in the place, in that space. After about four or five trips there, seeing all the same wildlife, one day I decided to stay later. This is the first time that e stayed after 4 PM. Then late in the afternoon, there they ere. Seven turkeys trotting out of the woods.
Here’s one. (See picture)
You can go to the same place ten times and still see something different on the eleventh time you go there. That’s all I’m saying.
You can stand there with your hand out. Bring “black oil sunflower seeds”. The birds and other animals eat out of your hand. Don’t leave seeds on the ground and wait until all seeds are consumed. If you leave food or seeds on the ground, you are inviting or feeding mice or other vermin that are not your beautiful birds. Just saying.
Enjoy your stay at the wildlife sanctuary. It is fun, educational and a wonderfully, calming experience.
These are my ‘modern’ pinhole style photographs that I took that day that I attended the course in New York City, New York, United States of America..
So, every single year, there’s a community organization that celebrates “National Pinhole Camera” Day. Small details: They charge you about five dollars and you pre-register for the class. (There’s a picture of some of the class in this slide show — participants all ages, child to adult but children must have an adult present). So in this class, they supply all the materials to make your first pinhole camera. That’s one entire class on one day. Then on another day, you go back to the place to use the camera to take pictures. It’s all very interesting.
Yes, I took the first class and I paid my five dollars. And, indeed, I did create my Pinhole Camera with their supplies. And, as life would have it, something came up and I didn’t go back to the second class (which is totally outdoors- the first class i s indoors).
This is a personal story of my experience on that day, in my city. And hoping you share your experience. Or were you right here in our city that day ?

How did we wind up at the Brandywine Zoo?

Some of the signs of a good instructor:
- They have the right focus – they teach the subject that they are being paid to teach. They stick to the topic.
- They do not go off on tangents or on rants because of their own personal views.
- They leave their personal lives and personal choices out of the conversation in classes.
- They respect their students — all of their students, not just the ones that do work for them or that help them out.
- They treat everyone equally. That’s right – they treat everyone equally.
- They leave politics and political agendas out of the classroom unless the course is about politics or history. They know enough to leave their personal opinions out of the classroom, especially if they know that they can not control their temper around the issue of politics .
- They know what they are there – in the classroom- to teach and they stick to that topic.
- Basically, we all know the signs of a good teacher, the bottom line is that they teach! They realize they are in the room to teach — not to propagandize and not to push students to agree with them on political issues that they don’t agree on. So, hence, teachers keep your politics out of the room.
Schools and senior centers, and colleges and universities are places of learning, places of connection, places of growth, and places here many human beings from all different backgrounds become connected through conversation, ideas, thoughts, opinions and through personal growth and work towards unity in spirit and unity in the world.
Have not, yet, tried this coffee syrup. However, after reading the ingredient’s list, it looks like this is a good beginnings for a quick instant coffee.
The only two ingredients are coffee and a form of real sugar.
Great ice cream topping also.
I was in a classroom this past week, and a worker who was just doing their job had just left the room.
One of the peanut gallery muttered, “She’s not a nice person”.
So much for listening to the peanut gallery!
If you hear someone say , “She’s not a nice person”, or “He’s not a nice person”, call them on that. And ask they why? Usually, the name-caller or the one who is insulting someone will not have any reason whatsoever to be insulting someone.
A reasonable person, if they are commenting on someone will tell you what the problem is rather than just beginning a rumor that “she’s not a nice person”.
Now, that day about seven or so people heard the insult, heard the put down but nobody said a word. And I wondered why? Why wouldn’t someone put a stop to someone starting a rumor like that?
Well, I guess I had to do it, yes, I had to open my mouth and tell the insulter that it isn’t nice to say that about someone. Don’t say that someone is “not a nice person” behind that person’s back.
See, if you have a problem with someone, say it to their face. Don’t start a rumor about them, behind their back!
I’ve seen that worker before and they work hard! And that is SO not nice to insult a worker behind their back when they are doing the job that they get paid for.
You wonder how rumors get started? You wonder how someone gets a bad reputation? You wonder why people look at one person and think that they will avoid that particular person?
A simple sentence, a simple insult, a simple wrongly placed adverb and remark and comment, “She’s not a nice person”!
When you hear someone say, “She’s not a nice person”, open your mouth and set that person straight! Tell the person that it’s not nice to insult someone! Tell that person that when people are doing their jobs, they have no business to label the person as “not nice”!
A simple misunderstanding can lead a person to lose their reputation! A simple insult, said behind someone’s back can lead a whole classroom of people not liking a person, even though they don’t even know that person! A simple insult , was it you who began the rumor, by saying, “She’s not a nice person”?
Are you a person who never smiles unless someone is being put down? Are you a person who is only happy when someone is hurting or when someone is talking bad about someone? If so, change your ways! Be nice. Be kind! And be quiet!
The moral of this story is this; when you hear someone muttering that someone isn’t “nice” behind the person’s back, know this, that this same person has probably muttered someone wrong, or nasty or not nice about you , also. You see a person who begins a rumor about someone doesn’t just do that about one person, no! A rumor-monger usually will talk about everyone that they know, at one time or another.
Rumor mongers don’t have any favorites! They will say that, “She’s not a nice person” -about you, and you , and you and me — quicker than you can blink your eye.
Next time you hear that, think again, and don’t let the rumor monger get away with that, without speaking up and speaking out –against starting rumors!
