Turkeys and Other City Birds

I really miss photographing birds.  It’s been ages since I’ve gone out to photograph the birds, any birds.  The picture of the birds here (above), I took one day while I went out to the supermarket.  There was this puddle .  Someone was feeding the birds there, from their car.   And, it is illegal to feed birds here in our city. But I took the opportunity, since someone else was feeding them, to take this picture.

You are not allowed to feed birds here, in  public places.  And, a friend of mine has trouble now, finding birdseed in the city.    Since they have made it illegal and publicized it is illegal, some of the stores have stopped selling the birdseed.

I took all these bird pictures quite some long time ago, in various parts of the city, in the states, United States of America.

I was out in Sag Harbor, with one of my granddaughters, watching the birds in the Elizabeth Morton Wildlife Sanctuary.   And though we had been there many times before, this is the first time that we saw turkeys out there.   We stayed late one day, past four PM, and out came the turkeys.

We go there to see the robins, bluejays, chipmunks, woodpeckers and all small wildlife.  We were quite surprised to see large turkeys come out there.   We have these turkeys all over our city, but in our city, they usually travel in packs of 10 or more.    One of our city turkeys below.

ARTFROMPERRY I take photographs and tell stories with photographs, . Everything in these photographs is exactly as it is supposed to be. Blurred, from a distance, sharp or not, colors varied from the average. These are not photographic mistakes nor anything to be corrected. These are exactly as I want them to be seen. As a pastime, I produce and direct television programs in parts of New York City, NYS USA UPDATE: Due to covid hitting our city, I temporarily stopped producing television since the studio required that we sign a seemingly illegal covid contract in order to have access to the studio. Considering a lawsuit to get the program back on the air again .
